Senior Environmental Program Manager (Regulated Waste)

Responsibilities:
The Senior Environmental Program Manager (Regulated Waste) is responsible for leading and managing the regulated waste programs at the South San Francisco site. He/she will ensure that the site complies with applicable regulations, utilizes best-industry practices and adheres to company directives and standards as well as manage current risks and identify future challenges. The candidate will manage relationships with government regulatory agencies and conduct environmental aspects and impacts analyses. In this role, the incumbent will also serve as an expert of the Environment, Health, and Safety department and provide related guidance and support to cross-functional teams. He/she will implement source reduction programs to minimize the generation of regulated wastes and prepare SB14 source reduction plans and performance reports.

Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited four-year engineering college or university curriculum with a major in a related scientific/engineering field is required. A strong background in environmental compliance and environmental engineering is essential. The candidate must also have ten years of in-depth environmental experience directly related to this position's responsibilities and in a process industry manufacturing plant. At least seven years of direct experience in the development and implementation of regulated waste programs is necessary. The candidate will possess strong project management and collaborative abilities as well as excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. He/she should be a proactive, analytical problem solver who multi-tasks and generates solutions to complex problems.
