The Environment, Health and Safety team is looking for a motivated, highly-technical EHS professional to oversee environmental, life safety and waste management programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as site hazardous waste manager (Haz/Non-Haz, Universal, Medical)
• Develop, implement and maintain HazCom/Chemical Management Programs (employee training, MSDS management, chemical inventory)
• Conduct inspections and maintain records for program compliance
• Obtain and manage pertinent environmental permits (EPA, BAAQMD and Santa Clara County)
• Act as primary contact for spill prevention and response
• Maintain training and involvement in emergency response team

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience managing chemical inventories and R&D waste streams for multiple facilities
• Excellent communication across project and management teams
• Exceptional organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to analyze and problem solve in a dynamic environment
• Proven ability to manage, plan and organize project activities within changing priorities
• Proven ability to manage to deadlines
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and database management
• Minimum 5 years work experience in the EHS field with focus on environmental and waste management
• Bachelors degree in Environmental Management or Chemistry or closely related field
• Training certifications for DOT Shipper and HazWopper(40 hours)
• Experience in Air Quality and hazardous material/waste permitting
• Experience in hazardous waste characterization, profiling and shipping
