Job Title:		Instructional Designer, 6 month contract
Location:		San Jose, CA

A leading global provider of solar power systems is looking for an Instructional Designer who will be responsible for development and management of the Safety Training Curriculum for the U.S. and Europe regions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of instructional design experience.
• 5+ years of program management and curriculum design experience.
• Experience creating online modules using Adobe Presenter, Captivate or other elearning tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to perform in a fast pace and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Understand OSHA safety requirements and interpret into training needs.
• Conduct training needs assessment according to audience, site, position.
• Develop, implement, and communicate the corporate safety curriculum.
• Coordinate with other specific safety curriculum programs across the organization.
• Map current safety courses to the defined curriculum and identify gaps and priorities. For the gaps identified, determine how to fill the gaps---create a roadmap for filling the gaps.
• Align safety training programs with company needs.
• Evaluate current safety courses against instructional design principles and develop improvement plans to ensure quality training.
• Create safety modules where none exists.
• Create knowledge checks to ensure understanding of safety requirements.
• Work with the LMS Administrator to integrate online safety training in Plateau.
